CMA have embedded social and sustainable procurement practices to strengthen not just our social licence to operate – but the wellbeing and resilience of our people, our environment and the communities in which we work. We have also identified key principles to guide the implementation of social and sustainable procurement commitments across our business and in the projects we deliver:
An evidence-based approach to identify priority groups who will have access to the opportunities created by project we are deliver.
Include social and sustainable outcomes that benefit the local communities in our value-for-money considerations for suppliers
Support the growth and development of the social enterprise supplier market
Encourage our supply chain to deliver sustainable outcomes
Leverage existing Federal, State and Local Government programs to support the delivery of our social procurement commitments
Maintain a reporting and governance framework to oversee our social procurement plans
We measure the social impact of our operations so we can optimise future opportunities to increase social value across our business
